Specializing in NYC Condominium / Co-Op Management
Property Management
Experienced Management for New York City's Cooperative and Condominium Communities
Founded in 1992, Dermer Management specializes in the management of cooperative, condominium, and mixed-use residential properties throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Our portfolio includes a diverse range of communities, from boutique condominium buildings and historic loft properties to some of New York City’s most prominent residential properties, including 900 Park Avenue, the tallest residential condominium on Park Avenue.
For more than three decades, we have remained committed to thoughtful guidance, strong financial oversight, proactive planning, and exceptional service while protecting the long-term value of the communities we manage.
Our goal was never to become the largest property management company or a factory-style firm with a revolving door of managers. Instead, we chose to grow carefully, providing every property with the personal attention, continuity, and long-term commitment it deserves.
A Hands-On Approach
Every building is different. That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all property management.
Since 1992, Dermer Management has taken a hands-on approach, working closely with boards to understand each property’s needs and long-term goals.
Rather than becoming a large, factory-style management company with a revolving door of managers, we have chosen to grow carefully so every client receives the personal attention, continuity, and responsiveness they deserve.
Our hands-on approach includes:
- Financial management and reporting
- Budget preparation and reserve planning
- Capital project oversight
- Regulatory compliance and risk management
- Vendor management and contract negotiation
- Building operations and maintenance
- Resident communications
- Insurance administration and claims management
- Board guidance and strategic planning
A Proactive Transition Process
When Dermer Management assumes responsibility for a new property, we begin with a comprehensive transition process designed to identify opportunities for improvement from day one.
We proactively review all aspects of the building operations with the Board including financial records, service contracts, maintenance procedures, regulatory compliance, insurance coverage, and capital planning to gain a complete understanding of the property’s needs.
Our goal is simple: preserve what’s working, improve what isn’t, and position your building for long-term success.
